We would like to hear our residents views on the Public Toilet Closure by Erewash Borough Council – they have scheduled our toilets on Victoria Road to close on 31st July along with 9 other Public Toilets in other Parishes in Erewash.
They have offered for Draycott Parish Council to take over the toilets on a long term lease which means that we could keep them open, the only issue is that all costs associated with running the toilets would fall to the Parish Council…
We would have no choice but to increase the parish precept by the costs – EBC have quoted that it costs approx £24,000 to run the toilets per year – we dispute that figure!!!
We are currently obtaining quotes for cleaning and another quote for automatic electric opening and closing of the doors
As soon as we have a rough cost, we will inform you but in the meantime, we want your views and have produced a simple 1 question survey for you to complete so that the council understand the views of the residents
