Whilst we appreciate that St Chad’s is a lovely peaceful area that people wish to
remember their loved ones at, please do not leave any flowers, plants or memorial
items at St Chads (other than Memorial Benches) – the area is first and foremost a
Nature Reserve (packaging and some flowers / plants may be harmful to the wildlife)
Parking
The car park barrier is in place and the gates will be opened from
- 8am until 8pm from 1st April until 31st August and from
- 8am until 7pm 1st September until 31st September
- 8.30am until 4.30pm from 1st November until 31st March
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE DEADWOOD OR FRESH CUT LOGS FROM ST CHADS
By leaving deadwood and cut logs, the council can provide homes for many species
of bug, insect, moss, fungi, lichens, and bird & bat nesting sites. It’s
easy #climateaction too as deadwood locks up carbon for years.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME
There are a limited number of bins around St Chads Water, we have to pay for all
rubbish collections, like all Local Nature Reserves we would encourage you to
please take your litter home with you.
