We are excited to confirm that the play area will be closed from Thursday 15th May for the refurbishment of the play area – there will be fencing closing off the area installed.
Most of the equipment and machinery will be delivered via Hopwell Road entrance, next to the school. There will be safety protocols in place for deliveries and the rest of the grassed area will be open for use.
We have informed the school so parents and children should be notified via the school system too.
Please pass this information on to other users of the play area – we are told it will take approx. 4-6 weeks dependent on the weather but are pleased that this will be finished in time for summer and the school holidays.
We will keep you updated on progress but are very thankful to Veolia for their grant of £75k and the recent donation from PW Defence of 5k towards the nearly £120k costs for this improvement project.

IF anyone wants any of the playbark, please email clerk@draycott-pc.gov.uk and we can arrange for an amount to be left in a pile for residents to collect. We are going to use some in the Cemetery but can offer it to locals to collect themselves for free (we need to know by the 18th if you want any)
