The Former Scout Hall, Draycott – Now Available for Regular Hire

Draycott and Church Wilne Parish Council have taken over the management of the former Scout Hall, located just off Garfield Avenue, Draycott, following the sad disbandment of the local Scouts.
The Parish Council owns the building and, from 1 October 2026, will be responsible for managing the facility and arranging regular hall hire. The hall provides a useful community space for local groups, clubs and organisations looking for a regular venue to meet.
About the Hall
The hall offers a large, open-plan room measuring 7.28 metres wide by 13.9 metres long, with tables and chairs available for hirers to use.
Facilities include:
- A large, flexible space suitable for regular group meetings, clubs and community activities.
- Tables and chairs.
- A kitchen area equipped with a kettle, microwave and toaster. Please note that there is no cooker available for use.
- Two entrances: the main entrance is accessed from the Leisure Green car park, with a separate disabled-access entrance from Garfield Avenue.
Availability
The Parish Council currently has availability for regular weekly bookings throughout the week, including evenings.
Please note that Tuesday and Thursday evenings are already fully booked. At present, the Council is accepting regular hire bookings only and is not offering one-off bookings.
Hire Charges
The current hire rate is £15 per hour, with a minimum charge of two hours per booking (£30).
