MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD IN THE PARISH ROOMS ELVASTON STREET, DRAYCOTT ON TUESDAY 9 JUNE 2015 AT 7.30PM

066/15. Apologies- RESOLVED to approve the apologies for absence submitted on behalf of Councillors M Tudbury, M Alexander, B Rogerson, A Wilson, R Parkinson (DCC) and PCSO K Pykett.
067/15. Variation of Order of Business – none.
068/15. Declaration of Members Interests – Cllr D Dundas declared an interest in Minute 074/15b) Parish Rooms – request from the Draycott Village Fund – as her husband is a member of the Draycott Village Fund. Councillor Dundas remained in the meeting for this item but took no part in the discussions or voting.

070/15. Public Speaking –
Members of the D in B reported on their work at St Chad’s Water LNR and requested additional materials – Clerk to arrange. They also answered questions on item 074/15b . It was also reported that there is Japanese Knot weed on Derby Road and Nooning Lane – Chairman to report to EBC. The Chairman thanked them for their work and for attending the meeting.
PCSO Pykett had provided a written report detailing 5 crimes in the parish since the last meeting.
Cllr Parkinson had provided a written report on DCC matters..
Cllr Clare reported on EBC matters.
Cllr Withey had provided photos of the work done by D in B during their action day at St Chad’s Water LNR. It was agreed that the Clerk write to them thanking them for their work.
071/15.Minutes – RESOLVED to confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting held on the 19 May 2015.
072/15 To determine which items if any from Part 1 of the Agenda should be taken with
the public excluded. – No items were deemed confidential.
073/15 Chairman’s Announcements – the Chairman asked the Clerk to remind Members of forthcoming events over the next month and confirmed ‘helpers’ for the Band Concert and attendance at the DALC Training session on the 18 June.
074/15. Report of the Parish Clerk –
a) Local Council Award Scheme – RESOLVED to apply for Quality status and to approve a budget of £500.
b) Parish Rooms –. RESOLVED to accept the offer from the Draycott Village Fund (Draycott in Bloom section) to replace the grassed area with a ‘garden’.
c) CCLA – RESOLVED to meet with representatives from CCLA to discuss the Council’s investments.
